It’s Day 9, and if you like garbled speech, this classic is for you…
This will be properly reviewed in January 2017 to celebrate the release of Yooka Laylee later in that year, but here’s my summary of it.
So Banjo’s sister has been kidnapped by an ugly witch so he sets off on an adventure with his bird…no, an actual bird, Kazooie. Good ol’ British humour! The game is a collect-a-thon, there’s a lot to do but at least you can still explore and find or figure out what you’re looking for. It might be challenging, especially later in the game, but at least it’s still fun…need I remind everyone that I’ll also review Banjo-Tooie. This is a fantastic 3D platformer, it has it’s issues like small repetition and the note collecting in the levels, which is why I recommend the Xbox 360 port (also released on the Xbox One via Rare Replay), which fixes all the issues I had with the original N64 port. It’s a game I highly recommend playing, especially for the Xbox 360/One if you’re interested in playing Yooka-Laylee.
