And my next favourite game is…
This was a game I recently played, but man is it fantastic. As someone who never properly played Strategy games, this game will give you the basics of how it works. The game is about a tiny astronaut who crash lands on Earth and finds colourful creatures known as Pikmin, who help him find pieces of his ship so he can go back home. The game is simple but fun, but then you realise you have 30 in-game days to find the pieces, but you know what, it’s one of those games where I can plan things out accordingly, “what I’m going to do tomorrow?”, I would say, “OH! I know! How about I do this and that and I can use these red Pikmin to do this and the Yellow Pikmin do that…” this game can do that and it’s that interaction that engrosses you in the game.
It does have that difficulty that is based on how you play…what I’m trying to say is, it’s not that hard but you need a bit of skills should you want to speed run it, but novices can get into the game nicely. A nice microscopic world that doesn’t really feel microscopic…Pikmin 2 would do that well and the music is also memorable too. It’s an entertaining game that can give you some joy on a Sunday afternoon, you have the GameCube and Wii ports so you won’t be out of luck with these games.
