Random game time again, this time we have a Game Boy game that’s considered rare and goes for a high price, it involves Jeeps and racing…this is considered expensive? Jeep Jamboree: Off Road Adventure, developed by Gremlin Graphics and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment, Inc. It was released on July of 1992. That’s right, a British game developer made a game that was only released in America only?

You race Jeeps in a first-person perspective, which is very impressive for the Game Boy. For the single player, you simply race around tracks; you’re in it to win it. The controls are pretty good and the gameplay is fun though there were many times that I didn’t know if I was passing opponents or even touching them, it loses the feeling that you’re racing and makes you think that the game is broken even though it could be related to the limitations of the Game Boy considering that a first-person racer is very ambitious for that console and nearly pays off. There’s also a multiplayer but nobody cares.

Overall, it’s a nice time waster, it’s not the best racer but for the Game Boy it’s impressive on a technical standpoint. I know racing games on the Game Boy are similar to that but considering that you’re on the driver’s seat, it’s pretty good.

You can get it on the Game Boy, though trying to find a copy will surprisingly be very expensive.
